Winter is a time of reflection as our leadership teams consider all that God has done at Huron Forest Camp CedarRidge in our 76 years of ministry. The ministry of Camp CedarRidge is so much bigger than any one of us. I stand in awe as I celebrate all the dedicated hands that God uses to make camp a safe place where children and adults can know the love of Christ -- summer staff, work weekend crews, board members, and many others!

 

Countless lives have been changed in our little sanctuary in the woods. Just imagine: your child or grandchild might be the next camper to come home with a life-changing testimony. Or maybe it’s you that needs a place to serve or give. Who knows? You might just come home with a life-changing testimony of your own.

Did you know the camper fees do not actually cover the total cost for a week at camp? Donations to HFCC help keep the fees affordable so every child has the opportunity to experience camp and come to know Christ. Also, financial support from generous friends like you to our Campership Fund offers camp scholarships to families in need.

Please pray with us for these campers and consider giving a one-time or recurring donation toward the Campership Fund. A young person’s experiences at camp can impact the rest of their lives -- and the ripple effect can be great!

Summer Theme
2018 Summer Theme: "Reflect to Reflect"
In many of Paul’s letters, he asked the church to “imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). As we pray and prepare for the summer ahead, we encourage our staff and supporters to Imitate, reflect, Christ’s love internally in order to reflect Christ’s love on each other.

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Do you have a friend that would LOVE to come to camp with you? Our Refer-a-Friend program allows you and your friend to receive a $50 discount. If five of your friends attend camp for the first time this summer, you could receive up to $250 off your tuition! Find more information and terms here!

New Board Members

In autumn 2017 several long-standing board members completed their terms. With deep gratitude we thank Jessica French, Linda Neal, and Chris Clauson, who have dedicated years of service to Camp CedarRidge. As we enter the new year, it is with excitement that we welcome four new members to our Board of Directors! Suzanne “Crune” Miller, John “Owlish” Glumb, Ken “Archy” Kahsen, and Margaret (Meg) “Albatross” Rauch have readily and willingly stepped into their new roles. Most importantly, they bring enthusiasm and key skills for the year ahead. Welcome to the team!

Note from the President
 

To me, the most amazing gift the Lord gives us is His faithfulness. No matter what happens, He is faithful to us. I have watched His faithfulness to HFCC in the six years I have been a part of this board. God has been faithful to us on a daily basis -- blessing after blessing after blessing. God’s faithfulness to me has helped me to make the right decisions in faithfulness to Him. I challenge you to think of all the ways the Lord has been faithful to you and begin a conscious act to be faithful to Him. Watch your life change as you become faithful to our God.
