new executive director!
Dear CedarRidge Friends,
We are so excited to introduce to you our new Executive Director, Michael "Jaeger" Rauch!
Over the past year, the Board of Directors prayerfully and diligently sought the Lord through the hiring process of a new executive director. God's leading was evident as he guided Michael and his family to Camp CedarRidge and called them to serve full-time in this ministry. Michael and his wife, Shawna, are passionate about this generation of youth and are committed to the values that Camp CedarRidge holds. The Board of HFCC are thrilled to welcome the Rauch's to the Camp CedarRidge family!
Mike first attended Camp CedarRidge (formally Cherith) when he was eight years old. He continued to participate each summer that followed and eventually became a staff member for two summers. The Lord has since directed his life towards a small town in Ohio where he and his wife have actively served their community.
Mike and Shawna have committed the last eight years to building a thriving youth group in Liberty Center, Ohio. They have walked faithfully in God's will trusting that he would take care of them through their volunteer work in their church and community. God has blessed them abundantly by supplying a core group of additional youth leaders that continue to carry out the ministry in Liberty Center.
In the beginning of 2018, God began to guide Mike back to Camp CedarRidge after being away for more than a decade. His combined passion for youth and desire to meet the needs of HFCC led him to organize a week-long mission trip to HFCC for his youth group. During the week of the mission trip, Mike was reunited with the heart of Camp CedarRidge and caught our vision for the future of this ministry.
Mike has eagerly stepped into the role of executive director. In the coming months he will be working with the HFCC team to have a smooth transition of responsibilities, to wrap up facility closing for the winter, and to begin preparations for next season.
Although Camp CedarRidge is a summer youth camp, we believe that our ministry is not seasonal. The work it takes is year-round and the impact that is has lasts for a lifetime. There are many opportunities this fall and winter for volunteers just like yourself to step out in faith and participate in God's ministry at HFCC.
Commit to pray for the Rauch family, the Board, and other staff as they diligently serve each day.
Give a one-time or recurring financial gift towards the staff support fund which allows the Executive Director to serve full-time.
Volunteer! During the off-season, volunteers are needed in social media management, newsletter envelope stuffings, church camp nights and presentations, staffing our table at various fairs, and much more!
