Team ElijahOur Service Crew "Team Elijah" is a special opportunity for teens (must have completed 8th grade) to gain practical experience in understanding the biblical model of servanthood. Teens serve for a week at a time, and can choose between the corral crew or the kitchen crew. There is no fee to sign up for this program. The corral crew spends their week at the barn and riding ring. Each day, they are responsible for mucking stalls, grooming, preparing the horses for classes, and assisting the wrangler during free time riding as ring aides. In the evening, they join the kitchen crew for dinner dishes and programming. The kitchen crew is responsible for each meal's dishes. They collect, wash, and sanitize the dishes, and are also responsible for putting dishes away, cleaning and mopping the dishroom and kitchen, and taking out the trash. In addition to these jobs, TE also has a designated work project block of time where they may do anything from mowing, weedwhacking, and painting, to cleaning buildings, picking up brush around camp, and help build retaining walls. Team Elijah spots are limited to 8 per week and are filled on a first-come first-serve basis. Spots fill up quickly so sign up early!
