Camp Album Project

Introduction

At the end of every week, the camper leaves camp with a few more memories, a few more bearscares, and a few more friends than when they arrived. Though they leave behind the trees, the tents, and the sand. Music is a huge part of the experience of Huron Forest Camp CedarRidge, and so often we have to leave it behind as well.

This project is about capturing those songs near and dear to our hearts as a unique part of our experiences with camp. The studio recordings will be embodiments of the Camp CedarRidge Songfest experiences packaged into a high quality production. This album hopes to recreate the spirit and integrity of the worship experience at camp in a recording.

The money that we raise will go towards paying the licenses for the music, studio fees, professional pressing fees, packing costs, and digital distribution costs. Any support that can be lent to the completion and funding of this project will be appreciated.

FAQ

How much will the album cost when it's done?
With the help of kickstarter, you can preorder a digital or physical copy of the album. Pre-ordered digitally, an album will be $8.00. The physical copies cost $10 for pick-up at either the camp office or in the Tuck Shop at camp. You may also request to have the physical copy shipped directly to you for an additional $5. Starting May 24th, individuals who were not able to pledge during the Kickstarter project may purchase physical copies through the camp office or at camp this summer. What kinds of songs will be on the album?
We will feature worship songs on this album like Micah 7:7, Come Thou Fount, No Sacrifice, Your Generation, All For Jesus, Oh Lord to You and several other camp favorites!

There are hopes, with the success of this CD, to record a silly songs album as well.

Who's going to be singing these songs?
The executive producer of this project is SueAnn Shiah (Lyra) and will feature the voices of several current and past campers and staff members.
